Syngonium Batik was named for the fabric dyeing method referred to as batik in Indonesia. They’re native to tropical rainforests of Mexico and South America.
Watering: Enjoys staying moist, but not soggy. Water when top 1-2" of soil are dry.
Light Requirements: Medium to low light. Keep out of direct light to avoid scorching.
Humidity Needs: Moderate, 50-60%. Increased humidity will result in a higher foliage yield. Tolerant of low when consistent watering practices are maintained.
Soil Preference: A standard, well-draining potting soil.
Fertilizing: Benefits from a well-balanced fertilizer applied 1x/month during spring/summer.
Repotting: Since your Syngonium will trail, they do not often outgrow their pot, but will benefit from repotting every 2-3 years to ensure soil nutrients.
Pet Safe: No
Common Issues: Underwatering is the most common issue for Syngonium. Allowing your plant to dry out completely more than a couple of times will eventually result in lower leaves beginning to yellow and drop. Maintaining a consistent watering schedule will keep your Syngonium at its healthiest.
